If you think that you are tired of winter think of how your house plants must feel. Here are a few hints on how to perk up either ailing or just “feeling the winter blues” potted plants.
Add two tablespoons of pancake/waffle syrup at the base of the plant once a month.
The minerals found in flat club soda when added to the plants are very beneficial to the plant.
Dribble and work in well one tablespoon of castor oil into the soil of the plant and water well.
Work in one tablespoon of Epsom Salts for every foot of plant height around the plants base. You will see better blossoms and deeper greening.
To revive an ailing plant, add two tablespoons of Geritol to the soil twice a week for three months.
Mix one tablespoon of an apple cider vinegar to one gallon of water and water your potted plants with the solution.
Place tea bags, either used or new, under the mulch around the base of your plants. When you water the plants, the nutrients from the tea leaves enter the soil.
Mixing up unsweetened instant tea ( no ice or sugar) to fertilize potted plants.
