If you have or know someone that has an egg allergy, here are three recipe replacements for an egg.
Flax Seed Egg Replacer
In a small bowl or cup combine 1 Tbsp. flax seed meal (Chia seeds may be used in place of flax seed. They do not need to be ground into meal) and 3 Tbsp. warm water. Mix together with a whisk or fork and let the mixture set for about 10 minutes until it forms a gel-like texture similar to a raw egg. Use in recipes in place of 1 egg.
Puree 1/4 cup of silken tofu in a blender until completely smooth and creamy. Use in recipes in place of 1 egg.
Gelatin (Non-vegetarian, unflavored)
In a small bowl or cup, sprinkle 1 Tbsp. of gelatin into 3 Tbsp. water. Allow to sit for 1 minute. Stir until completely dissolved. Use in recipes in place of 1 egg.
