Sausage and Cabbage Casserole

Here’s a good recipe for a casserole using a head of cabbage and your favorite sausage.

1 head cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 lb. sausage
1 c. water
2 cans cream of celery soup
6-oz. package of stuffing mix

Cook the cabbage in a small amount of water until tender. Fry the sausage, breaking it into small pieces. Mix the water with the soup. Layer half the cabbage into a 9″x13″ casserole dish and add all the sausage. Add the remaining cabbage and pour the water-soup mixture on top. Sprinkle the stuffing mix evenly over the top and dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until the stuffing starts to brown.
