Cabbage Casserole

Tired of eating cabbage in the form of cole slaw? Want to try something different? Here’s a recipe for a cabbage casserole that will become a family favorite.

2 c crushed corn flakes
1/2 c melted butter
4 c raw chopped cabbage
1 onion, diced
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 c milk
1/2 c mayonnaise
1 c grated cheese

Mix the corn flakes with the melted butter. Spread half in a greased 8 x 12 casserole dish. Layer the cabbage and onion on top of the corn flakes. Combine the soup, milk and mayonnaise.  Pour this mixture over the contents of the casserole dish. Top with the remaining corn flakes and cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
