Take a break from pizza night and surprise your family by serving homemade Stromboli. Here’s a simple recipe.
1 frozen loaf bread dough
your choice of vegetable or meat
Thaw out the frozen bread dough and roll it out to fit a pizza pan. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough and cover with one layer each of listed meats or your choice of meat and/or vegetable. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and oregano. Roll up like a jelly roll and stick toothpicks in the top to hold it together as it bakes. Be sure that both ends are tucked in tight. Brush with a beaten egg. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and oregano. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
